mod or not to mod

maybe we can do it tomorrow? im off wed...I get off at the same time tomorrow but dont have to worry about goin to bed early. Just lemme know

I never viewed the P5 as a car I would do performance mods on. There are just too many cars out there that are faster, that don't require all the $$$$ to get there.

On the other side of the coin, I did own a first year neon that I stuck a 50 shot on, an open intake, and a dynomax muffler that served as a daily driver for 200,000 miles. Ran great on the street where tire spin ruled supreme and 5.0 Mustangs had bad dreams. However, once on the track, it liked to grenade the trans and with all the wheel hop only produced 14.90 time slips.

If I was you, I'd pick something rear or all wheel drive.

We didn't buy this car cause it was fast or had potential to make power cheap.

It's just a great all around car that can carry whatever you put init and still corner better than most cars out there

yeah yeah, your the exception, you and the other boosted Pro5's

lol

WOW DUDE! This is exactly what my plans are. I was thinking about boosting the P5 in the long run, meaning after I get a good job/saved enough cha-ching. But then again, It just doesn't seem worth it to me. It's a great handling car/grocery getter. Period.

I also love the 240sx's and now I plan to get one and boost that thing instead. That'll be my toy. So keep the P5 and use it as a daily driver and mod it to your liking. It's funny how easily $1,000 can go into a car.

Do you like motorcycles? If I don't end up getting a boosted 240 as my toy, I might get a motorcycle instead. You might want to consider that.

You can always play World of Warcraft too...

So im at one of those points...seems to be a thing everyone goes through with cars.

Basically..I just want a second opinion.

Plain and simple.....Should I mod the P5, or buy something else for a project and just make that my "toy"..Or buy a better car (rx-8. ms3..etc)..

I want a dependable dd, but i also want a car to bring to the track.

The p5 has the potential to be both, but i dont want to be modding a car that just isnt worth it...basically putting 5k into it and barely hitting 14's in the 1/4 mile....given this car is built to handle, and that is what i want...But the thing just seems like its soooo hard to get it past the whole "slow" point..

Spending like 5k on a used 240 and swapping the motor for a 13 second track / weekend cruise car sounds very appealing...

At the same time...I love my p5, shes been so good to me and is a beast in the twisties with just the stock configuration....

I dunno..Im stuck :( guess this is more of a rant than anything, but input is welcome
