hey everyone im a newbie to the mazda scene and i just picked up my08 MS3 a couple weeks ago and can i just say that this car is the tits.

but anyway i have been wanting to start modding and ive been reading all these posts of voided warranty and i can now see that mazda is pretty anal about this so i was wondering if anyone knows where a mod friendly mazda dealership is in the philadelphia area or the outskirts.

and whats everyones opinion on first mods?

I got my mazda from pacifico in philadelphia and I kind of know the salesman. I think I could get away with boltons.

I got mine at John Kennedy in Conshy... they seemed cool, but I haven't been in for service yet... I just bought mine 3 weeks ago.

What do you need to mod that car for anyway? I mean, really... it probably handles like mad already :)

But, from my autocross experience, here is a list of important mods in order of decreasing bang for the buck:

1) Brakes (the best place, IMHO, to spend money on a stock car if autoX is your goal)
2) Tires/Rims (lighter the rims, the better)
3) Suspension / Sway Bars
4) everything else is irrelevant

Of course, engine power is hardly important in autocross... it all depends on driving skill.. I once saw an ES car get FTOD just because the guy was such a darn good driver.

YMMV
:)

i just want to do some small stuff for now but mazda does NOT seem cool with anything you do to a car.

im not super comfortable with how long the throw is when shifting im used to very short throws. i wanted to to some intake mods suspension exhaust new FMIC or a bigger top mount that kind of stuff.

the LAW says that a service can only be voided under warranty pay If the aftermarket part CAUSED the failure. like if u have an aftermarket spoiler and u have trans issues they cant void the trans work b4 "uve been racing" thats against the law.....but if u have a short shifter and u complain that it grinds when shifting...yeah they say screw you to that one and rightfully so....

how would i know? im a mazda tech....in the philly region

A Londoner's Pride

A Londoner, very proud of his hometown, was showing a visiting American around Central London.“That's Waterloo Bridge,”he said.“It took only two years to build.” “That's nothing,”said the American.“Our Brooklyn Bridge took only 14 months.” Later as they went along the Euston Road, the Londoner said,“That's the Euston Station. The old one demolished and the new one put up in 18 months.” “Our largest station in New York,”said the American,“was completed in less than 10 months.” A little later on, they passed Centre Point, looking at its 34 storeys, the American asked,“What's that building?” ..World Of Warcraft gold is WoW gold “Oh, I don't know,”said the Londoner.“It wasn't there when I went to work this morning.”
