mod bug!..what next

So since i got my 09ms3 mid may, i just want to make sure im goin the right way:
cpe-nano, cpe-inlet, turbosmart hybrid, cobb ap, prosport boost gauge, cobb rsb.
Now i dont know if i should go with a dp/rp combo catless, a cobb dp or just a tp. Or should I start hitting the suspension, wheels , tires..etc. I also know i need some motor mounts and maybe shifter bushings. Either way i love this car and this forum...lots of good peeps and good advice.

both shifter bushing and motor mount should be a high priority... way before dp/bpv

Thanks, i shouldve noted that most of these arent installed yet as im unable to do anything since i just had hand surgery and im in a cast and sling. The only actual thing on my car is the sri. Everything else is sitting pretty in my room.

Especially in a speed 3 you need to get that hp down to the wheels. Also you need an intercooler. I would get an IC before a downpipe. Just saw a guy selling a turbo xs FMIC kit for 400 bucks. You speed 3'ers are so lucky. If I had one i would be all over that.

eh i didnt think id need a fmic unless i went bigger turbo which i def dont plan on yet.

U don't need a FMIC . . . you can get a TMIC. But getting a new IC will free up a good 20 hp. The stock TMIC sucks.

You lucky speed 3'ers have cheap FMIC options.

speaking of mod bug...i just got my ms3 cai and i kinda caught it too. only thing is the boat im in won't allow me to get any more any time soon. i have somewhat of a list, but since i personally would like to do safe mods (relative to the engine) i feel that i want to just do things like get the mazdaspeed suspension upgrade and some ms6 wheels.

even when i run out of warranty time i would still like to stick with the mazda products. i feel that once i sell this car (whenever that will be, and if that would happen) i think that someone else might not see it as "someone else's project" with all the mazda accessories on it.

Not sure if people in the know would care that much, especially an enthusiast. Example: I had heavily modified my Audi S4 with all aftermarket goodies, i.e. bigger K04 turbos and intercoolers, grabbier clutch, suspension, new software, etc, etc, basically went from 250HP to well over 450HP. And a lot of people who want to buy S4's want them already modified, you get a nice premium for that, even though it's all non-Audi stuff for the most part. The guy who bought the car was looking for the horsepower, he didn't really care that it was all aftermarket.

So my point here is that the MS3 might well be known to be a car that you modify, and the next person that buys it will be looking for power, not necessarily Mazda parts.

The AP is easily a one handed job for most guys. Some of us require two hands as the job is larger.

If I had the money I would probably buy a front mount, then coilovers before downpipe.

I say get a testpipe/racepipe and a rear motor mount at least... Then slow down and do some visual or more personal mods... like rims and visual accents (painted badged, debadged, alexa badge, stripes, lip, tints, towplate) to sort of make the car "your own". That's what I would do.

thats true too, i already did the tints, and im gonna be blacking out all the emblems while i wait to heal. trz mount is gonna be ordered, and maybe the cs tp.
