Mitsubishi Supercharged Ralliart 380 Concept

I want the Mitsubishi colt or the "i" hehe.

if they updated the galant to this front end, released the new lancer, brought the colt here, axed the eclipse, axed the diamante if they haven't already, burned every last remaining lancer "sportback", and detonated every endeavor and raider ever released into the world.. they'd probably be doing pretty good over here

The Diamante has been axed since last year. Mitsubishi has no business selling pickups.

Diamante was our old magna, which is essntially what the 380 is. Engine has grown up from the old 6G74 3.5 litre, to a 3.8 litre V6. The raliart 380 will be FWD just like the least ralliart magna (diamante in the U.S), that was in essence miles behind Ford and Holden. (well at least in Australia, the home of big Aussie built cars family cars)

It quite common now in Australia for an engine to have a larger capacity in litres than its seating capacity, 5.4, 6.0 etc.... So when mitsu brings out yet another V6 FWD it will just pale into insignificance just like all the other FWD snoozemobiles before it....... Pity, cos even without the supercharger its a damn good drive.

Only if Mitsubishi could make ALL of their cars as exciting as the EVO.

Mitsubishi killed the Diamante a year ago here in the States.

Yup, your diamante died, the same time we stopped making the magna, after all they are the same car. The 380 is the replacement for the magna/diamante. We export them to you.

Mitsubishi tired renaming it products about 20 years ago, ditching the 'sigma' nameplate and changed to the new 'magna' monkier. It made no difference to the public, 20 years ago people knew that the new Mitsubishi Magna was no better than the old and tired Sigma it replaced, and 20 years on people are no different. The public seem to be able to smell bulls*** 20 miles away.

The scenario below is a famous (in Australia) 80's question about changing car names, this was a Question from a journo to a Newly appointed Nissan Marketing Manager.

Journo: What are the differnences between the outgoing Datsun 180B and the new Nissan Datsun 200B?

Nissan Employee: Well...

And before he could give his long winded answer, another journo yells out of the crowd and answers for him.

2nd Journo: Twenty more mistakes!

Things havent changed.
