Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart Sedan

Hey all,
Well, I have been looking at possibly getting a MP3/MSP, SE-R, , SRT-4, WRX.....the sporty compact sedan market. You get the picture. Anyway I think I'm going to hold off now until sometime next spring (one more winter out of the beater) . I'm just wondering what any of you think about the new Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart. I think it looks to be a real bargin, looks better than the current OZ Lancer and has much better power too.

I also may consider the new Mazda 3 or used 6s. The more I research the more confused I get Also, I love the Acura TSX, but right now that is a little out of my price range.

Anyhoo....thoughts on the new Ralliart ??

I'm also considering that car. But I still think the MSP is tops on my list. Plus it looks better. The Ralliart should fall right in the middle of this group. I have a feeling you'll be seeing many of these around.

Well, I do like the looks of the MSP and still may consider one if they can get the clunk and hesitation problems fixed on them. I tried 2 MP3's and they both had the clunk. I almost felt sorry for the poor bastards trying to sell them. It makes the car sound like it has 150,000 miles on it.

its kinda like buying a v6 mustang. you may be happy with it, but i would always wish i got the v8 (evo) no matter how expensive and unrealistic is was budget wise.

You cant think that the Ralliart edition is a good looking car?? I think it is one of the most ugly cars ever created... As for the OZ edition please 120hp with a cheap set of OZ wheels and a trunk badge... s***!!!

yea, the oz edition is stupid. there is a guy with one always trying to race me around here. i destroy him every time. its a disguised cavalier.

You guys forget that I'm not looking for a car with a ton of power. No way I'm going to spend $30K for a car (Evo) that is setup for racing when I don't need or want another car like that. For a daily driver I think the Ralliart would be perfect. As for the the looks, I don't think it is anything great, but dont' think it is bad either. Now the Sportback version.....that is UGLY!!

I don't really want a hatch back/wagon. Otherwise, yeah I agree.
Plus the Ralliart has a bit more zip in the engine. I will have to see what the Mazda 3's are going for in the spring too.

Hmmm... The Ralliart seems to have corrected on my main complaint about the Lancer; It has four wheel disk brakes.

However, one of the other issues was not addressed; It's still an SOHC engine. I, personally, prefer DOHC.

It looks alright, though. =)

I'd rather save up more money and get the EVO!!!I would only get the Ralliart if it was AWD.

Yeah, I know a guy with a yellow OZ, lowered, exhaust, and some other s*** he says he has nos, but I don't beieve it, cause I wouldn't be able to beat him the way I do. But hey, they car looks decent, and sounds decent. Not my first choice, but hey, he has a car better than a Honda or cavalier.
