Missing Oil?

So the other day I did an oil change on my ms6. Before I started I took a quick gander at the level and notice it was crazy low. I know when I did the last oil change (about 5k ago) I put in a little more than half way up the dip stick, little over 5L.

Yeah I know that the spec is like 6L for an oil change. I put 5L in this time and again Its right at the half way mark after a few days.

In either case has anyone had any issues with leaking oil, or an area that I should keep an eye on?

i kind of had the same issue, i was told either the crush washer was busted or the filter could be leaking...on not noticing oil leaking it could be getting caught on the plastic pieces on the under-carriage and coming off while driving, check out those two

Does your turbo smoke? This could be causing oil to be burning off. And 5k is way too long of an oil change interval on these cars. I always fill mine up to just below the full mark.

well, its full synthetic oil, so 5k doesn't bother me too much and I had replaced the crush washer, and it didn't appear to have any oil on the skid plate. No smoking turbo that I know of. Ill probably check the level again after work tomorrow and see if its moved.

also doesnt help that you are putting in 5 LITERS. and try for a washer, or a new one. also check around the oil pan gasket and valve cover gasket. other than that, check your exhaust on cold start ups to see or smell any oil burning out of your ass end. thats right, get on your knee's and sniff away ;)
