High EGT's can cause a cat to break up, but LOW EGT's can cause it to clog. Basically, it has to be hot enough for the cat to light off, to allow the catalytic reaction to take place, but not so hot that it shatters or overheats and cooks and/or cracks the cat, so it no longer heats up properly or evenly.
Honestly, I don't think it'll be an issue, just looking at the results thus far.
On a side note, I have someone with an emissions tester giving me a hand (In a different location, so he's going to get back to me with the results), and I should have a measurement of the differences in emissions by this evening.
