Well to start off just joined the forums, I know should be saying this in other topics but just wanted to get that outta the way.
I own a 2004 MS3 2.3l with about 104k on it. Still runs great no real big issues.
MIL light came on about a year or little more ago, had it checked and from what I remember then the guy told me the sensor is reading two different engine temps. After talking with friends the convinced me to replace the coolant sensor. $42 dollars later I replace the sensor. The one I took out was corroded heavily and the metal was black.
Before I cleared the code I took it to have the MIL codes checked again.
When I had the guy check it the car is throwing these codes p0126, p0128, and p0401
I did look all of these up. Little concerning....
Would all of these be because I just swapped out the coolant sensor? I am just afraid the light will come back on after the engine cycles through.
