Might think twice bout N2O!!!!

I had a nitrous kit on my car for well over 6months..and like for 2 months..i had an mp3 ecu!

Now many people have blown their engines while using nitrous..but then again..i know allot of people who are running nitrous w/ no ill effects!

Spark plugs are really the key with a nitrous setup..you need to have atleast 1step colder spark plugs..if not 2 steps colder!

Secondly..the quality of the fuel that you use..will determine allot..that's why i alwayz filled with sunoco 93!

If you get some bad gas..you basically done for! I think that's what happedned to pdhaudio!

Ive always ran at least 92, and 93 whenever I can. theres only one station here that pumps 93 and its nowhere near anything. But I understand what your saying, Ive heard that before (about the gas).

i would say it was just a bad plug. ive had this happen to me ahile back to another car i had that had no n2o. the bottom of the plug just melted and created lots of problems..

I don't know anyone who uses iridium or platinum plugs i na nitrous motor....thats asking fro trouble. Their tips do not cool as fast as plain-jane copper plugs and they WILL melt after some useage. Next time you decide to play with N20 you should invest in some basic copper plugs at least one heat range colder.

/off topic, i like the way you painted the lips on the front bumper, but the graphics are too wild for my tastes.

I dont know too much about it, but couldnt you have pulled the N2O setup and gone to the dealership under warranty. It would not have been that hard to remove and hide.

N2O actually leaves a residue in the motor- quite easy to see if you have at least one eye open - (poke)

actually medical grade nitrous has no residue..

the car grade nitrous has some additives..which prevents people from inhaling..and that's what shows up..as the residue!

So the moral to the story is don't use it unless you have the right setup in your engine, not that n2o is bad.

i think u need a voltage clamp to run nitros on a protege, and retard the timing on an MSP

I dunno, if you do it right, there should be no consequenses, just fun. and $2.50 per lb. fill ups every week. <----this guy:)

Guys..in order to run nitrous in a msp..you will need a piggy/standalone ecu...like i have!

:p
