I am grabbing a hotel, I don't want to drive home every day. its an hour away and I don't feel like making that trip three times. I was just going to grab a hotel in mansfield. like 5 miles away. They have two queen beds for 150 a night for friday and saturday night.

once I get answers back from the teams as to what time the Paddock tours are scheduled, I'll post up and then I'd get down there before that. Continental practice starts at 835am so there'll be plenty to watch and do all day Friday too

I can't wait to do the Paddock tours this year! Last year, I completely forgot my ticket on Friday. It cost less to just buy a 1-day ticket than it would have cost to drive home to get my ticket. Unfortunately, I didn't have paddock access so I couldn't do the tours HAHA

oy! i can't believe how much they gouge the prices!!!!!!!!!! I found a whole 3 BR HOUSE for $175/night ... but i learned from experience. depending on the number of people and where we're going, i try to rent houses instead of hotel rooms. usually more cost effective. www.vrbo.com is my best friend!! : )

LOL no ban that I'm aware of ... so parade laps are on. Not sure when yet, though.

$150 for a night at a hotel is kind of a ripoff. They better have a pool And a hot tub ... And an awesome breakfast.

yea but its worth it to me to not stay in a pit and its close so I can justify it so I don't have to drive home. I'd spend at least 50 in gas driving back and forth so 25 more and I get to stay

unfortunately, no room at the inn ... but if you're splitting the room with someone else, then definately not bad. it just drives me nuts that hotels that normally charge probably LESS than half of that raise the rates so high on race weekends, it's not like you're getting better amenities or anything. drives me nuts.

Partick, look for hotels in Ashland and Wooster or a cabin near Mohican. Mt Gilead is another cheaper option.

found a kinda gross one for 48 a night.... I think I would rather pay for the 150 a night and sleep knowing I won't catch anything. We have three people staying in the room as of now so its down to 100 for the two nights. there is more room if anyone needs a place to crash

I think we're paying something like $120/night down in Mt. Gilead. It was the closest we could find that was decent and nonsmoking when I booked a month ago. It's ~20 minutes south of the track but with 314 closed it may take a little longer.

It may be possible to have some of you guys stay at our place. It is about a 25 minute drive on some fun roads to get to the track. It won't be 100+ bucks a night either. I will run it by Jen and report back.
