That's not the start point, it's the mid point! (stoned)

More RX-7 pictures from today. Not sure how I missed the 'vert.

If you had a good drive today, don't forget to add to Kane's reputation points!

I've got some pics too, just too busy to load them. Expect them tomorrow morning once I wake up - I work an overnighter tonight and tomorrow night.

Great drive, funny memories. I think its great that the NOS energy drink saved the day.

Err... yeah. My bad, dude. Thanks for organizing, Kane. (2thumbs)

My pleasure. I always have fun, so I don't mind organizing. Eventually there's going to be a scheduling conflict and somebody else may have to take over, though. I hope somebody will be willing. (ughdance)

we just need directions lol. within the first 10 minutes of driving I am completely lost.

That's pretty much the point. Kevin doesn't want anybody to know the route. If it becomes public knowledge, then it's going to end up being over-crowded with tuners and bikers and the cops will clamp down.

Exactly the point. ;)

It looks like you guys had a pretty good time. :) Except for those that can't read the rules/directions. (hand) (rofl)

If you or I can't plan/host the event, then they need not be held IMHO as the route is protected for reasons mentioned previously. The cops already have started cracking down. It usually happens in late June and July due to a couple of months of bikes/cars tearing it up out there. We got pulled over yesterday on our ride. Fortunately only one guy got a ticket but we were lucky. We were speeding for sure, but not doing anything else out of line. The cop said they have been getting increased reports and complaints of high speed traffic on the roads lately and are reacting.

Ofcourse people are welcome to go out there and drive on their own, but plan on taking a map and compass. :D

Let me know if you need help with the next one. Dependent on my schedule I may be able to help out.

Which rules? About having enough gas?

If you're free on July 17th (and you still have your Speed), please show up! We actually had more group leaders than groups this time but that's ok. We had almost all Mazdas this time, so it was cool. (2thumbs)

If you're saying that the cops are cracking down, then I don't know about keeping it up for the rest of the year. I can't afford another ticket. Last one cost me $120. We only saw one cop on Saturday. Luckily we were all stopped in Unadilla at the time but I don't feel like pressing my luck. I'll get a whammy.

Maybe after the next one we should either find a new route (highly unlikely) or just call it quits for the year. Maybe if we started earlier in the day. That would kill the lunch break at Pickett Fence but there would be less people on the road.

I dunno... I'm rambling.

There was also a she-sheriff that rolled by when the 7 ran out of gas. It doesnt make things any better when 9 cars are pulled over to take care of it. It just shows we look out for each other.

Ladies and gentlemen, its picture time-

Most of these were the shenanigans with the NOS energy drink can that saved the day.

Seriously. There were two group leaders pulled over. If something like this happens again, we need only ONE group leader to stay with the afflicted vehicle and everybody else should continue the drive. Luckily that was close to the end, so nobody really missed anything but not so luckily, it was on a major road.
