So I took my MS6 in for it's regular oil change (free) @ my dealer Friday night so I could pick it up yesterday. They owed me a free cabin filter change since I had to wait an extra hour to pick her up the last time.
So come to find out, @#!@ Mice have been nesting in the heating ducts chewing the daylights out of everything. RRRRRRRRRR.....So basically I want to make sure this doesn't happen again. I live in the country so mice are a constant issue. I've put about 20 traps out in the garage w/ only a single mouse executed thus far. Any thoughts on where a mouse, mice might have gotten into the heating channel? Evidently they've nested between the cabin filter and down to the blower motor and such. My dealer actually let me take a peak before they cleaned it out (I must say, I have a really good dealer service staff) and you should see all the junk. My car sat about a week or so over the holidays, so I am assuming that is when this happened.
At least they just didn't clean it out and say, "Have fun!". They are checking everything out thoroughly to make sure nothing critical was chewed, or could become a problem. So for now, I'm driving a little loaner Mazda3. Not a bad little ride, but definitely not my MS6.
Done ranting now...
