Yep... they sure are. Do some research, you might be suprised.
i am suprised... if they are a iron, why do the engines blow eventually when the turbo leaks oil into the engine?

leaking oil into the engine doesn't hurt it at all... what hurts the iron seals is detonation... A detonation puts an undo force on a seal at it's "extended" position if you will and it shatters... Those peices then go thru the trubo and chew stuff up...

so yeah... Make sure you tiune them properly.... Detonation = bad.

ahh i see, well you do learn something every day.. lol.. i still find the rx engines very interesting.. i know the basics on them, but still learning the technical stuff on them..

Ok, so I'm too lazy to read five pages right now, but what I've heard through the ways, is that mazda plans on using the basic look of the RX-8 for the friont clip(fit better of course), a slighty larger body and fram, with slighty bigger trunk and passenger compartment. Better performance(via a larger engine(not sure of the size) and a possible rotar engine option). And I beleive they where giving an initial estimate of 30grand(give or take a few) and release in summer 05. Now, weather or not these facts are true or not, who knows, however I've heard it several different places(A few TV SHows, A few Mags, my friend who works for mazda, and has been right 90% of the time about model changes, and other such interesting stuff before, and I a few other people). so yeah, it'll be a better car soon.

Erm... no. Mazda has stated time and again to all who will listen that the upcoming NC Miata will not share the same corporate "face" that the 3, 6 RX-8, MPV, etc. wear. Mazda recognizes that the Miata - much like the Corvette for Chevrolet - is an icon in its own right, and as such does not need to share the same corporate look. The NC Miata will look nothing like the RX-8.

Actually, the overall footprint of the car is intended to be smaller. The wheelbase and track width are expected to grow, which should improve cabin space, but the overhangs are expected to shrink considerably, along with overall length. Trunk size will likely not improve drastically.

Keep dreaming about that rotary. It's been stated multiple times, publicly and in "private" interviews with the NC Miata's lead design team, that the Miata won't ever be getting a rotary.

Price is projected to stay relatively similar to what it is now ($23k-$27k). Mazda isn't stupid - they know that a $30k price tag will kill the NC. The Miata - aside from the limited production Mazdaspeed version - is not, has never been, and was never intended to be an expensive sports car. They've sold over 700,000 of them worldwide by keeping them inexpensive, and they won't mess with that success with the NC. MSRP may be incrementally more expensive than the outgoing model, but I can guarantee you it won't be $30k.

At least you got the release date right.
