So it seems like they’re not going to reinvent the wheel here which makes sense especially if sales and customers support that path…Continued refinement makes sense, I like the idea of even lighter and more powerful especially in this day and age!

That's great news. I always found the 2.5 I had in my Mazdas was so gruff and truck-like (and low revving) that I don't think that would mesh well with the spirit of the Miata. Here's hoping it does get refined more because it could be a real treat if it were.

I always check Miatas out and inevitably end of comparing to my S2000...the Miatas seem so tall compared to the S'. I wish they could get that hood lower!
Excited to see what's up Mazda's sleeve for design.
