Miata Roll Call

^ wow that's my dream right there. Nice Miatae! I've been meaning to find out how you guys do the fat Viper-like racing stripes. I'm going for a black and lime green theme, the wheels and future rollbar will be lime green and I'd like to do the stripes green as well...is there a template you found somewhere? I'll start searching...

any chance you'll trade one of your manual racks from your NA's for a power rack with 77k mi? I've been looking for a long time...

Not sure, but there's a red MSM with silver Viper-type stripes on CR. Damn thing looks just like a Viper.

In which country?

Such history with that car. Hopefully, it'll land in good hands.

I'm back in DC. Its going back to AL. BamaSpeed is going to buy it. He had 2 Miatas before & now has a '10 MS3. Its going into great hands.

No chance I'd trade a manual rack. If I had my way, they'd all be manual racks.

Stripes aren't that hard really. Find a sign shop and have them cut you a long long 8" wide swath of vinyl. I think 30 feet should be more than adequate to do the whole car and have enough to stash away in case you have to redo some later. Mark off the center line of the car and put a strip of 2" painter tape down, then on goes the vinyl. Need lots of patience to get it on smooth and work out all the bubbles. The real pain in the neck is doing the area around the rear license plate.

My stripes look good from 10 feet away, any closer and you can see imperfections. But this car has always been a ten-footer since I've had it - Maaco repaint by a previous owner and stuff like that. If the paint was perfect I'd probably sweat the stripes more, but it's not a big deal to me.

It's a nice look with the hardtop and a set of daisy wheels I painted to match. I don't use those wheels much anymore (upgraded from 14" Azenis) but still like the look.

thanks I wrote that down, 8" wide and 30 feet. Stripes look so good on NA's...

Nice daisies! I just painted my set lime green today for winter lol

Hi. My name is Robert. I have a 2006 Mazda NCEC1. I used it to replace an NB1, 1999 10th anniversary mx5. I used that to replace ths shittiest car alive, a 2003 Mazda Protege5, which replaced my favorite car ever, a 1990 Mazda Protege Lx.

Lol. No. 2 motors replaced, a 3rd blown, dozens of recalls and squeaks and noises and this and that. You know my p5 story mahk.

Too bad they don't make the Miata in salmon...just sayin'.

You would have a blue everything. You blew the 1G. You blew the P5. It would only be fitting. ;)

Children!

I'm Mike (aka chief), just picked up my first Miata this weekend. 2000 SE with Jackson Racing supercharger and assorted other goodies. 002a.webp

Welcome, and don't mind the kids. We have to let them out now and then, or Child Services comes calling!

Hi, I'm Robert from Birmingham, Alabama.

I just bought a 1992 Mariner Blue Mazda Miata. No pwr windows or locks. No pwr steering, A/C soon to be gone.

Planning on modding it pretty hardcore. I want an enjoyable daily driver, and I don't need A/C for that. Its gonna be painted black with 16x7 Royal Gunmetal Rota RB's. Randall cowl intake, with cold air pipe to K&N air filter. Racing beat headers and muffler. Fidanza lightweight flywheel. Short throw shifter that I just ordered. BC coilovers, and FM sways, and an energy suspension full bushing kit. Also, eventually a hardtop, and a hard dog roll bar (single hoop, not those gay doubles). Eventually also planning and building a turbo engine, but that's a long ways from now.
