MI: MS3 sightings!

Good choice! Is it also liquid plat. like mine? I've seen a few floating around. Where about are you located? Dearborn area?
Liquid Platinum, indeed.

I work for the parent company, just across from Greenfield Village but live in Belleville.

Ah, I see. LP is the color to have in my opinion. You'll have to check out one of the Fun Run's soon enough.

Probably have seen me around, I park in the EVB mechanics' lot off of Oakwood. Black MS3 with dark wheels and occasionally a roof rack. I've seen one or two MS6s around Dearborn, one of which a friend of mine owns; he parks at PDC.

I've seen a couple speed3's lately: a red GT on NB Southfield Monday. Also a silver one at Maybury state park yesterday.

Anyone know a black speed3 in Royal Oak? I saw my twin tonight at like 8 oclock, eastbound on 12 Mi at the light at Campbell - black MS3 with dark/gunmetal wheels. Also had the aluminum fuel cap, so not quite my twin...

I believe theres a guy in Dearborn with a car similar to what you're describing...hes on XS, not sure about here.

There's a true red with tint that I seen cruising in the winter time around Farmington. I wasn't able to get his name, but i've also yet to see him again. He had an 07 GT with Nav.

The other true red I met lives in Novi and has a true red Sport with MS exhaust and MS intake.

Do you park in the lot off of Oakwood just north of Village Rd? (Near the doors to Zone T.) I park along the fence that runs parallel to Village and work in Zone B.

Crossed paths with a TruRed this morning in Troy. I was just leaving the Discount Tire on 14 Mile as he was arriving. I would have stayed to chat but was already 3 hours late for work :P

I rather doubt he's on the boards cause from his phone call it sounded like he was gettin 18" Eagle all season tires to swap onto his stock wheels for winter. That doesn't sound like something a forum-going "enthusiast" would do. But who knows.

On a related note, stay the **** away from that Discount Tire. The managers/lobby guys were cool, but the guys in the shop were huge bags of douche. First, the guy who took my keys (Kevin) said he could drive stick, which was a lie. But before he tried it he tried to teach his co-worker buddy how to drive stick in my car! When I noticed that was going on I went outside to talk to them; Kevin was back in the car and starting to pull it in. But he had it revved so high with the clutch partially engaged that I could hear it boosting. Boost+slipping clutch=fail so I literally ran across the lot yelling at him. Who does that!? "Oh yeah, I can drive stick - wait no I can't but I'll practice on a customer's car while he's watching me through the window." WTF. He didn't even have to pull it on a hoist, just literally forward 20 meters onto the flat shop floor. FAIL.

18" Eagles?! Oh boy...he's going to end up wrecking that car this season.

Eagle's are almost no better than Potenzas...

That's ****** up about the car. That's why when I order my wheels/tires (if I can't get them cheap locally), i'm only taking the wheels to have the TPMS sensors installed, then i'm going home to do it myself. **** those guys..

Which discount did you go to? I went to the one on Ford road in canton back a few years ago when I had my Grand Am GT. It had a body kit on it and was lowered and I asked them not to use their hoist (because it doesn't lift the car, it just pushes up on the frame and my body kit would get crushed. This kid had the AUDACITY to lift the car by the rear trailing arms, bent both arms. I went straight to the dealership, had it checked out, called Discount Tire immediately and they gave me cash right out of the till. Faggots...

i got my yokohamas at discount tire. i just brought the wheels up there so they could mount and balance them. i couldnt beat $83 a piece

What do you guys think is the proper way to store tires? I don't want to stand them upright and have them get flat spots. But then again, I don't want to lay them flat against their sidewalls, stacked one on top of another. I'm sure the weight is going to damage the side of the one tire.

I thought about stacking them, and putting like sections of padding (cardboard, or section pieces of carpet) between the rims as I stack them.

Mike those stock tires dont last long enough to worry about improper storage for a couple months, I just have mine stacked on their sides in my basement and if they last through next summer I'd be surprised.

Several sitings lately...

Sunday 2 sitings. A black with a Killer TOD sticker in the little windows in the back, we had some quick fun on 275. Then immediately after a True Red on 275 to 96W. Full tint, think I have seen him around more than once...

Then today, Tuesday, I saw a BRAND new sticker still in the window, get this, Cosmic Blue on Woodward in Ferndale. Wonder what it took to find that gem?

just spotted a True Red, looked stock besides for the license plate in the middle of the windshield...

saw him on Maple going towards Rochester, he was turning on some random street... gave the whole high beams flash and a wave out the window,

MS3's really have there own cult

I see a blue on on meadowbrook between 10mile and grand river occasionally on my way to work with an older guy driving, get the wave out the window but no light flashing.

There's a blacked out MS3 in Riverview who's on the boards here, but I haven't seen him in a while. As for the grey one, I haven't seen any on the roads Downriver yet. Whereabout are you located?

good luck trying to see me on the road. i think my average speed is 100+
so if you see a black blur traveling at a high rate of speed, it's me.
