MHP Intake

Is the MHP intake Any good, how is the power increase, can you feel it?

Well i've been reading on this board and CAI's are a very popular discussion on the HP increase, from what i understand MHP has a larger tube then injen, with a smaller tube like the injen the air flows faster, but this also will slightly increase heat. If i'm not mistaken the increase isn't that great either way, whichever u want go for it, will be close to the same and will sound awesome. i still haven't decided, but i'll probably go with the MHP b/c it will match nicely under the hood and it also comes with the bypass valve

so the mhp comes with a bypass valve, but it is only a short ram intake, no need for a bypass valve

I read the install, does it only fit on the mp3? also it showed that you had to cut the bottle bracket is that really necessary? because I don't want to mess around with cutting things just incase I have to replace the stock intake.

i believe it is required to cut the metal bracket, else it will block the hole, and this will work on the mp3 and p5 i believe. the bracket is cut so that it can be turned 180 degrees and get the res. out of the way

I have an MHP on my P5, I had the injen on there for a while but I like the MHP much better, it sounds better and gives me better throttle response. Most intakes that arn't custom for our car requrie you to cut the rear window washer bracket, It's not a pain at all, it's just a very minor adjustment.

I accually went up to the MHP and installed mine onsite. It was a hell of an experience after a 10 hour shift at work, but it is a pretty good intake. It roars nice, and makes the engine compartment look nice!

I think the FS-ZE has a lower torque rating (130). As far as the response, it is there! When you punch it, the Flywheel helps it rev on up there. As far as the topspeed, do a search for New Tops Speed with FS-ZE under the performance section.

P.S. It has better gas milage also!

with cutting the plate will you still be able to put the stock intake in and the overflow back to where it was just in case
