Normally we are are at Lime Rock Park for the Grand-Am races, but not this year! Lauri was thinking of doing a "weekend fun run" to Southern Ohio, Hocking Hills, etc. So submit your ideas and suggestions and we'll take the best and conduct a poll to choose the winner.

You talkin about the weekend of the 26th? Bc ill be out of town the weekend after that for my birthday. But we can go down by hocking hills. I believe it's rt 664 that comes off of 33. It will go past all the parks, it's a fun road. Then afterwards a cookout at one of the parks maybe? 664 isn't too long, but it's an idea, maybe if someone maps out a route to it? Idk...

I/we might be down for this. Jen might be busy doing her fund raiser stuff so I would be on my own.

They are a lot of sick roads down by Hope Lake (Athens area) and are all PAVED :) We usually get a cabin down there and I always have a blast on those roads.

If this is going to be a weekend thing, perhaps we could rent a big ass cabin. Jen and I discussed the idea about a month ago when we visited friends of ours who had rented a cabin near Hocking hills. She had even grabbed some pamphlets and did some checking on pricing for large cabins that sleep ~12 or more. We did a little sight seeing and hiking. We drove on st. rts. 374 and 678. You guys can check them out on a map they are very curvy with lots of elevation changes. A little hilly for use under-powered guys. I can ask her about the pricing and report back if we like the idea. If we do a cabin rental we would probably need to make a move pretty fast since we are talking about a holiday weekend.

374 and 678 were what I meant lol and old mans cave chalets have huge cabins, sleep 12-20+ people.

That was my thinking, Brother Larry

I know that hope lake has a cabin that hold 15-20 people I think

I'm not in for staying but I'm in for a cruise.

Perhaps. But I may be using the weekend away from LRP to actually accomplish something before back to back to back to back weekends of business.

FREE CAMPING! http://www.aep.com/environmental/recreation/recland/ ReCreation Land is easy to get to. It is about a 30 minute drive from the cities of Zanesville, Cambridge, and Marietta. State highways lead to the area from both I-70 and I-77.

although it's very very busy memorial day weekend and it's a first come first serve and no cabins. My In-Laws go every year for the week before and we meet them for the weekend. Not sure what the plan is this year with the baby.

Unfortunately, we are OUT for this ... my sister guilted me in to going to see her in TN, but i AM overdue for a visit since it's been 3 or 4 years, maybe more! I have a 2 year old niece I've never even met yet!! : / my bad, so sad.

Sorry, meeps!!

At first I was like "Yay, fun run!". Then I read Lauri's post and was like "..boo...". Haha.

We'll have to get another fun run going soon though. :)

We could do a fun run closer to home. Well at least more north. I know of a few good state routes that would be fun.

Actually I was thinking about a longer run. It would start farther north for you guys. I will put some time into it and let you guys know what I come up with.
