Well once you are done building the basic circuit for the MS you will need to figure out what kind of signal our ignition system needs in order to fire, from what i understand, there are three 12v 5v and switched ground. each of these needs a different kind of circuit built on the proto area of the MS to get the coils to fire.. hopefully ill get back to working on the car soon and let you know.... cheers...

On 62 did you continue with PWM idle valve installation and didn't install Q4,Q20,D8,R39 or your not planning to control idle with MSII ?

I assume you have done an MS install, if so your guidance would be invaluable to me because right now i feel like I am fumbling in the dark with this thing (silly)
I don't want to run my idle off the MS looking for fuel and spark only.
To answer the rest of your questions, I will take a look at my MS tonight and get back to you... Thanks...

Splice/Cut into the wire harness just like the SSAFC, but more wires and different combo.
IAT let it hang, everybody else does it.

That's not my picture. That's another type of sensor. its just for visual.
This uses a 3/8 in. NPT female thread for electrical sensor fitting. Not sure what size the stock rad hoses are tho. You'll need to get the right size.

Since you're using MSII, you can input calibrated values to match those of your stock CLT/IAT sensors.
Leaving the IAT hanging is lazy. It's there for a reason and a fairly good one, especially if you want to properly tune the car. Ideally, intake air temp should be measured at each of the 4 intake runners as close as possible to the head, but we all know that isn't possible. Place the IAT near the throttle body for ease. If you're boosting, you may end up having to go with a threaded type IAT, such as the GM to provide an air-tight seal.

Well after a long break I got back to working on the car last week, I spliced / hacked into the stock ECU and got all the stock sensor inputs working on the MS (RPM, CLT, IAT, MAP, etc... ) ill put up the details soon for anyone who is interested... ive been takin pics so it should help... this weekend ill be doing the injectors and have fuelling control. Pretty soon after that ill be doing the ignition too...

Once you get everything going, replace those spliced hacks with a secure solder connection to avoid future problematic and intermittent connections.
Are you sharing the VR sensor signal with the OE ECU? If so, how did you accomplish this?

i would love to squirt my msp and fix the stupid fueling issues, but i've never built one myself, and can't solder for s*** so i'm sol at the moment lol
I have soldered all the connections except for the CLT and IAT, I used the radio shack splicing stuff for those, they seem pretty solid.
Yup, I am sharing the VR input, I just soldered a 10 Kohm resistor inline with the VR negative, it seems to work fine.
Check out the DIYAutotune website, they have ready built units, and if you only want fuel control, its real easy!.. no soldering required.

Injectors online!!
Got my Injectors online, but I seem to have not calibrated the thermistors correctly. It was running in Warm up enrich mode all the while, going to recalibrate them now and do another run. Feels awesome to be finally tuning my own car!! (cabpatch)
