Got her running today!!... fuel+ignition online... cant believe how easy it was!.. downtime would have been less than a day, but I forgot to set the trigger wheel settings to 80 btdc and was getting the spark at the wrong time!. She's running real smooth now, will be doing a protege/msp specific how to soon guys.
post your map before run it hard, lemme see if its good or not, i blown my first engine because the spark timing was over advanced. and check the timing with a timing light, so you can adjust it within 1degree range.
Well i got base maps form the powersquirt website that someone had posted on the forum not too long ago, and I fine tuned from there... I am not running it real hard or doing too much tuning right now because im planning to turbo soon, so ill really tune it only then, but these are running really well for right now
Like I said, I used them only as a base, I tuned it after that, I needed something to get it up and running you know... Thanks for these maps though, I'm sure ill be checking it out. Again, I am not too worried about this tune right now because ill be going turbo very soon and I don't wanna have to tune all over again.
Well i'm finally done with the SS FTC, it's been great but its just not precise enough for me. So I just ordered an MS-II V3.0, BIP373 coil driver kit, map daddy dual 4 bar map sensor upgrade kit, GM IAT w/ bung, 12' harness, and the 460 piece weatherpack kit because i have other wires i'd like to clean up and i wanna make it look stock. my plan is to run it parallel with the stock ECU so i can still pass emissions. I'm going to run the MS2 Extra code and use tunerstudio. should be fun, I'm excited.
