Megan Racing Mazda 3 Coilovers

I've got a 2007 Mazda 3 i and wanted to know a few things about your setup. I see you are running the Megan 2" drop springs with an 18" wheel size (is that right?). If that's wrong, what size wheel do you have, and what exact tire and size are you running? Do you experience any rubbing with this? I'm considering the Megan 2 " springs, but I am worried about the car when autoxing and/or tracking it.

KCjohnny- Yeap all of that is correct! My wheels are 18x8 +40 Offset. with 225 40 18 tires. I have rolled my rear fenders. They still scrub a little in the back WHEN I HAVE PEOPLE IN THE BACK AND HIT A LARGE BUMP.

I would go with a bigger offset if i dropped with 18's again propably a +42 or +45. When i get to the point of getting my coils ill be swapping to a 17x7 with +40 offset.

C.smock - I really don't want that rubbing with people in the back etc. I really like the Rota DPTs and G-force which come in 17X8. Would you recommend going with the 17X8 vs. the Rota P1s in 18x8 if I want to use the 2" springs?

I ended up sticking with my stock wheels for now 16X6.5, putting on 205/55R16 Dunlop Direzza Star Spec Z1s. I took Major Error's advice to stick with OEM wheels to try my hand at autocross in stock class and see how I like it.

As fas as the Megan Racing 2" Springs, with everything else stock on my suspension, if I put the Megans on what can I expect in handling differences?

ALOT stiffer as far a cornering and handeling goes. Very Comfy ride though. Your ride would be even better with a 55 series tire. Dirty goatee and Sumixali can vouch for my car..

i just swapped to rota slipstreams 16x7 +45 offset with 205 55 tires and love it.. now i just need to find me some coils!! J Nash sell me yo s***!

c.smock, are your Megan Racing 2" Lowering Springs the orange color? If not, what color? Do they stand out a lot when you look at the car? The only color that Megan Racing is currently selling is orange, and I'm worried that it won't look so good against my Black Mica 3.

you can only see the back ones alittle if the car is inclined and you are 20 or so feet behind it ... its not bad at all

Cool, now I'm torn with just getting the Megan Racing Springs, or going with the full-blown coilovers...

I'm most likely getting 17x7/17x8 rims, what offset/size tire would I want if I was going to get these coilovers?
