Megan lowering springs FAQ

i was thinking about getting them, i have there catback and its of very good quality, so i would think atleast the springs would be as well. if anyone has em im curious as well to know if they are good

Definately need to upgrade struts with these babies. Too stiff for stockers.

I ordered em and still have them in the box...The price is awesome but futher rsearch I learned you need some hefty struts to dampen them, a couple of members paired them up with tokico illuminas and love them

i have them mated with illuminas and am comlpetely satisfied. the ride is deff a lot stiffer than stock so if you dont mind that then these are awesome. they dont quite drop the car the stated 2". maybe a little more like 1.75" but they still look and perform great. deff much more of a performance spring than something like tiens of eibachs.

as far as struts, you will need at the least illuminas. i believe the hp's just wont cut it with the higher spring rates.

my sig pic is me auto-xing with the spring, struts, and rear strut bar, and stock dunflops. i was so close to getting the tripod action. deff a great buy!!!

Search the P5 section...I purchased them and researched/posted all the information....I believe the springrates are apprx 210lbs/inch front and 235lbs/inch rear...and if I remember they looked linear...but my memory isn't the best...

You will need Illuminas to deal with these...

I knew there was a 230 in there somewhere....haha...It was a couple years ago when I researched them...and I musta crossed some wires cause the rears are never tighter than the fronts...

Do you find the rear strut bar makes a noticeable difference in handling?

slightly noticable. nothing major like a sway bar but i could tell a differance. even more so with the rear v-brace on and everything tightened down. its certainly worth the 40-60 bucks

Alright thanks. I was thinking of getting the V-Spec rear strut bar but instead I'm going to upgrade to the progress 22mm sway bar...

ah ic ic...

Any springs that WILL work with the stockers?

And what kinda problems would i encounter if they were on the stockers?

Eibachs will work with stock dampening.
With too stiff a spring, and not enough dampening force, the car will bounce, and just plain handle bad.
