i havent seen many impressions on the M/D inlet.

how does it sound? gains? change in bov sound? etc

I recently installed it, and the change wasn't dramatic, but subtle. The sound increased, bov is quite silent above 4000 rpm, and lag was decreased like the advertisement said. Definetly worth the 100 over the others that leave no room for an upgraded turbo (Cobb or Cp-e). (dunno)

besides the sound increase in sucking sound, has the turbo spool sound gotten any louder?

exactrly, people keep talking about this squirrel and bark sound. I have never heard this. I would say whatever inlet makes any bark or squirrel sound to AVOID THAT s***!
I have a custom turbo inlet and it's loud as s***, sounds awesome with no bark or whatever. If the Medieval/Darkstar one doesnt make that sound then get it for $100

cobb inlet makes a squirrel bark - http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123736035&highlight=inlet

guess it has something to do w/ the silicone construction based on the above threads. sounds like the medieval inlet doesn't make any funny noises, is $65+ cheaper than cobb's, and has a mounting bracket?

last question... i know the inlet comes w/ a coupler for the turbo side. do you have to buy an intake coupler to hook up a cobb sri?

im thinking the same coupler you are currently using with the Cobb SRI would work
