No, it's about 3 or so hours one way...

edit: Eh, I'll mull it over. I'm already driving around 3 hours round trip on Saturday the 1st to Waukegan for a meet.

i show 2.5, and seeing as its a sunday, traffic shouldn't be awful

edit: you might wanna come up hwy 20.... I could get you guys a route that would beat the hell out of a freeway and only add about 20 mins or so to the drive...

man up! and start loving driving. (headbang)

I drove 33 hours straight back in january of this year, phoenix -> chicago.

could you throw in some good curves? if so, I'd be interested.

I'd take 20 to 120 to 43 to 83 to X. slower, but shorter and a lot more interesting than freeways. no tolls either. 94W is north of where you wanna go anyway. its the complete other side of waukesha.

If you're interested I can introduce you to my FAVORITE stretch of road after the meet. it has 2 dips and like 5 NICE sweeping curves in about a quarter mile... a BLAST at 50 in my mom's subaru, easy at 55 in my MSP. other than that lil section, its boring as hell tho.

I think It'd be harder for our Grayslake/Waukegan people to go that way... the route Google maps suggests that's more "scenic" looks like this (from my address)

4. Turn left at N Eola Rd 4.6 mi
5. Turn right at Butterfield Rd/IL-56 1.4 mi
6. Turn left at IL-59/State Route 59
Continue to follow IL-59 21.2 mi
7. Turn left at Algonquin Rd/IL-62/IL-68
Continue to follow IL-62 7.1 mi
8. Turn right at IL-31/N Main St
Continue to follow IL-31 12.5 mi
9. Turn right at W Elm St/IL-120 0.3 mi
10. Turn left at N Richmond Rd 2.8 mi
11. Continue on IL-31/Widoff Dr
Continue to follow IL-31 5.2 mi
12. Continue straight onto US-12
Entering Wisconsin 3.4 mi
13. Merge onto US-12 W via the ramp to Lake Geneva 16.4 mi
14. Take exit 321 to merge onto I-43 N toward Milwaukee 16.8 mi
15. Take exit 43 for WI-83 toward Mukwonago 0.3 mi
16. Turn left at State Rd 83/WI-83
Continue to follow WI-83 5.3 mi
17. Turn right at County Rd I/River Rd
Continue to follow River Rd 3.6 mi

River Rd

that route zig zags horribly. my route cuts right through the middle of most of em. i'm allergic to your tolls, so I avoid at all costs. lol

You think you could punch in a good route and link it to me then?

Just do Aurora, IL to the final Address and play around with the route a bit.

On second though, I withdraw my previous statement. I want to drive up. I kinda want a passenger though... to talk to. Or at least a CB.

0.3 mi

2.8 mi
7. Continue on IL-31/Widoff Dr
Continue to follow IL-31

5.2 mi
8. Continue straight onto US-12

3.4 mi
9. Merge onto US-12 W via the ramp to Lake Geneva
9.8 mi
10. Take exit 328 for WI-120 toward Burlington/Lake Geneva/H/WI-36
