Thanks for creating.

I'm looking for anyone in the area of Bradenton to shed some light as to the kind of area this is. e.i. Is it the kind of place where we can sleep at night with BOTH eyes closed or do I have to pack a piece and a pit bull. The rooms in this area are cheaper than Brandon and it's south of the park which is convenient for us traveling from the south. The beaches are also very close which is a big plus in my book.

whoa! a thread about the meat that isn't 11tybillion pages long! :O

i gave up reading the other two after page 45...

Here's the list that I came up with...

Bayside Inn $75/night
11365 Gulf Blvd (this is the only one I could find in this area for this price)
Treasure Island, Fl. 33706
800-664-6835
11.2 miles North of Park on the West coast.
20 min. drive to meet

Guesthouse Intl Ellenton $71.99/night
4915 17 St. E. (there are others in this area ranging up to $79/night)
Ellenton, Fl. 34222
28.3 miles South of Park further inland
33 min. drive to meet

St. Pete Beach Travelodge $71/night
6300 Gulf Blvd (this is the only one I could find in this area for this price)
St Pete Beach, FL 33706
7.7 miles North of Park on the West coast (just South of Bayside Inn)
14 min. drive to meet

Howard Johnson, Pinellas Park $55/night
9359 Us Highway 19 N (there's also a La Quinta in this area for $72/night)
Pinellas Park, FL 33782
18 miles North of Park further inland
26 min. drive to meet

Days Inn Tropicana Field North $58/night
2595 54th Ave N (there are others in this area ranging up to $79/night)
Saint Petersburg, FL 33714
14.9 miles North of Park (just south of Howard Johnson)
20 min. drive to meet

Information for Bradenton accomodations have been previously posted (on another thread) so I didn't even bother with.

I'm curious to know where IPMCSFL members are planning on staying so as to make the rollouts to and from the park more organized. I also think the organizing of the hotel parties will be easier as well.
(drinks)
It would also make it easier to gather together for a night out on the town.

(drive2) (boobs) (godown) (breakn)

All hotel information was compiled from expedia.com and hotel.com. If you have any questions..."LOOK IT UP YOURSELF!!!"

I live in tennessee, so i am not familiar with the area or the hotels... do any of the hotels around there have secured and covered parking... my car stays indoors now and never see rain, I know being in florida and the trip down there I will probably hit some rain, but if I can I still would like to park in a covered lot...

I sent Susan an email about reserving a room yesterday, and got a read receipt but no response. Is La Quinta full?

laquinta is not full! we are looking into it cause we needed to book 10 rooms by the 21st to secure that rate and only 2 were booked so we are trying to get alittle more time.

As far as those other hotels, Well all the st pete/ pinellas park ones are GHETTO with a big capital G. The treasure island one or ellington ones should be fine. We picked the other one to try to get a bigger group at one hotel and it was closer for all ways to meet as it is off I-4 and I-75 and it seemed the people from up north had the furthest drive. also those rates didnt matter how many people in a room as others usually charge extra for more than 2 people.

Allright I will try calling this time instead of email.
