only problem with air to water intercoolers is if they become heat soaked it takes a far greater time to cool itself off.

I don't think he blew his motor. I believe something was wrong with his tranny.

It was originally thought to be a tranny problem but he threw a rod.

why him breaking his motor has nothing to do with the water to air setup being bad.

the water wont heat soak if you have a properly sized front mount heat exchanger and a decent resovoir. most kits come with fans so it cannot be an issue if you size everything properly.
