Has anyone given the mazdaspeed wheels a try. They are inceredibly light weight; weighing in at an astonishing 16.94 lbs for 18's. They aren't the best looking wheels but they are probably some of the lightest

I am talking about my MS6. And these wheels from Mazda. pho_MZ6_forged_alum_wheel_lg.webp

We had em on a black 3 on the showroom. They look great in person, IMO.

They are amazingly expensive as well. I would love to put the Racing heart wheels that were on the speed protege on my RX-8 even though they are one inch smaller. If they can clear the caliper and the offset is good it would look hot. It would be a softer ride too with some fatter tires since are roads here are worst then a 3rd world country.

Heck if anyone has some MSProtege wheels for sale, shoot me a PM, I would LOVE to have them.

Yeah they are expensive but you have to consider that Mazda wants 375 for a CAI, and how many people have actually paid that amount. What I am getting at is that you can probably get them for cheaper.

I think that I am going to go with SSR CompC's though. 15.5 lbs.

here is a great resource I found last night while looking for wheel weights.

They're not as pricey as the Mazdaspeed RX-8 Magnesium wheels. My discount still puts me at about $1200USD/wheel without tires.

I think those wheels look fantastic...

Maybe owners have them, this is a WWP car with AutoEXE springs...

I seriously considered getting these wheels for my car at time of purchase. But money was getting tight. Love those wheels.

Mazdaspeed needs to come up with a better design. Are they forged or something? Those wheels are butt-ugly...I'll be taking my money to the aftermarket if I decide to keep this car. New MS6 in 2009!!! I wonder how skinny those tires will be.
