Mazdaspeed SRI

I am getting the P2187 CEL with the Mazdaspeed CAI, so I took it off the car and shipped it back to PG (where I got it originally) and the dealer they got it from won't take it back. So. . .say I do take the intake back has anybody had success with running the Mazdaspeed CAI as the SRI and eliminated the CEL?

Thanks

Chances are it's getting the cel from the MAF housing, not just because its a cai.
I thought the dealer had totake them back? Thats messed up.

i got the same fault with an intake i made custom while waiting for my cobb to be not back ordered anymore. i put back the stock box because the car was bucking in 4-5-6 gears at high rpm. sucks that they wont take it back.

your maf is seeing to much air. if you can figure out how to cut the flow a little it may fix the issue. if you look at your stock airbox housing theres a plastic grid the goes right in front of the maf.

Those plastic grids don't usually limit the flow much, they're there to ensure nice smooth flow over the MAF sensor. 'Course, dirty flow over the sensor may be the whole issue, instead of "too much air".

If the diameter of the aftermarket intake where the MAF is is the same as the stock one, and the flow is clean... then the only way you should have problems is if the flow is so much higher that you max out the MAF sensor's range and end up clipping on the voltage going to the ECU, which I would think is unlikely on a new turbo car. But I don't really have any experience with this stuff on Mazdas.
