Mazdaspeed sport exhaust question

First off, is this a good axel back exhaust? Next, will this fit a protege sedan or just a protege5. I am interested in buying one, but I want to know if it will fit my sedan first. Thanks and let me know

The P5's bumper sticks out about three inches more than a sedan...you'll have some pipe sticking out. BlueMP5Dave has a Racing Beat cat-back for a sedan for sale. :)

there is one specifically for the p5 and one for the regular protege. if you go to mazdastuff.com, you will see under the 2001-2003 protege performance section, there are two options for the mazdaspeed axle back exhaust.

as for whether or not it's good... people who have it seem to love it. there are some who didn't like the droning at highway speeds, but most have no problems with it.

This is correct, there are two with two distict different part numbers, one for the sedan and one for the MP5 I have the one for the MP5 and I love it. Doesn't sound ricey at all, just a nice deep aggressive tone.

silly nate! you got that backwards. the sedan is almost 4 inches longer than the p5. racing beat's exhaust for the sedan has a longer piece of tubing from the muffler back to the tip.

hehe. :D My bad. Truc is right, the P5 bumper is SHORTER.
Must be that weed induced Dyslexia creeping up on me again.(stoned)

Hey... i just put my mazdaspeed put in last night, its SWEET took me about a half hour by myself, awesome low sporty tone, looks like really nice construction and yes the mp5 version is shorter...someone had one for sale for $100 on here...take a look around....good luck....L8ER

i'm not sure about it being made by mazdaspeed. mazdaspeed just paid someone to make the exhaust for them with their name on it. i heard a rumor that the mazdaspeed axelback you got from your dealer is actually made by either borla or bosal. one of those. kinda like how the mazdaspeed's mazdaspeed exhaust is actually made by racing beat.

so the one on mazdastuff.com is made by mazdaspeed right?

whoa... why do that? mind as well get the racing beat exhaust for the sedan that's cat back for $450. the msp one still uses the stock's 2" up till the axleback.
