I have a mazdaspeed rear sway bar, but for some reason when i take it to the dealer in order to get the control arm and brackets. they tell me that i cant order the pieces separately. does anyone have the part numbers for the bracket, bolts, control arm, and whatever else i need? this is for a friend of mine. we have been trying to look for this for a whille. also, does anyone know if awr make any of these parts and would it be better to go with them over the mazdaspeed parts(bracket, bolts, control arm, and etc). thanks for all the info and reading.

what you're looking for are the endlinks (that attach the bar ends to the struts). you can use your ES endlinks if they're not messed up. otherwise, you can get both the endlinks and the brackets from AWR.

there's a thread in the "how to" section that explains exactly what you need and how to do everything. make sure you read that first.

good luck- it's probably the best mod you can do to your ES...it made a world of diifference on mine.

(incidentally, i installed my MSP bar using the stock ES brackets without the AWR stuff, but i'd recommend the AWR bits.)

Yep, all you need for the install of the sway is the endlinks, bushings and bushing brackets. But don't be too surprised if you end up spinning some of the bolts. on the bracket. The bolts underneath the subframe are threaded into tack-welded and press in threads, of which both broke on me. Bastards. So, then I had to drop the rear subframe and weld in a pair of nuts to accept the stupid endlink bolts. Grr.

really? good to know. i tightened those bad boys down as much as i could. maybe i'm just weak. ;)

wow, i didn't know that. i already have the bar installed on my car. my friend has an lx, so i think he will have to order from awr. so is it better to switch to awr because i got the bars in a kit from mazdastuff.com for like $380 shipped and the how to thingy is pretty helpful, thanks for all the info.
