So we will still need to buy rotors? Sweet deal. Makes me wanna sell my front wilwoods. Either way I still wanna pick up a rear pnp kit :)

...these are mazdaspeed 6 correct? pm me more info please

This is the actual OEM set of calipers/brackets that came off my Mazdaspeed Protege. They are actual OEM MazdaSpeed Protege brake calipers/brackets in good working condition. I will be posting on Ebay later today

The splash shield does not mount up and as far as the E-brake I used the the MazdaSpeed 6 E-brake cables with a little bit of modification for the securing of the cables. I am and will be making a custom set of E-brake cables specially for this setup using LOKAR stainless braided lines. I have enough pieces at this moment to make 3 sets, just waiting on the universal Lokar sets to arrive. Sets will be plug and play when finished. Price will be around $150.00 shipped and ALL parts will be NEW

Keep me posted on the custom e-brake cables... I'll take a set for sure. I'd like very little complications while doing this conversion.

so ive been checking this and i notice a list of part numbers to stay away from..how bout a list of ones to ask for instead? and where to get them, since my dealer wanted nearly 1200 bucks for all of the components new and who knows if he was referring the 6 or ms6

i think he said earlier that nobody, at least not aftermarket, makes ms6 calipers/brackets. only place to get them is dealer or salvage yards.

yes i know that but as I mentioned, what are the part numbers to ask for so I know im being quoted the MS6 stuff

I found the mazdaspeed rear calipers on autopartswarehouse.com the part numbers are rear pass CE141.45557 and rear driver CE141.45558 i'm almost 110% sure these are the right part numbers and calipers will work.

They have the front listed also. But they don't come with the bracket that you will need to bolt them on. I would really love to do this to my car.

For the cost of the MS6 setup and considering how good the stock brakes are anyway, I don't see the point. I am very happy with my braided lines, ceramic pads, and Dot 3/4 fluid. The MS6 brakes are designed for somewhat aggressive track use and for a 3600+ lb. car. The little 2800 lb. MSP doesn't need all that, not to mention you are putting more weight on each corner which will degrade the handling.

in b4 "you can never have too much braking power" because yes, you can.

Chris you tell me what braket is not inclueded i'll find it for yeah i'm the king of finding parts for all these mazda's.

That is an excellent point, sometimes bigger is not better.
Do you think the increase in weight of the ms6 calipers is significant enough?

the speed6 brakes are pretty damn heavy. but thats what happens from a 12+in 1 piece rotor. the set up would def bolt up on a speed protege as ive installed a probe brake set up on a protege5. and the speed set up bolts right on a probe.

the rear speed6 set up also bolts up. but on the probes, the E brake cable isnt long enough. so that might be an issue on the protege also. but other then that, it wont be an issue.

if you want weights, i have a full speed6 brake set up in my garage. the 06+ regular mazda6 brake set up's are also a nice upgrade, but weigh quite a bit less. for those that are weight conscious, those might be a better upgrade. and one alot easier to get, and cheaper too.
