Ok guys....I saw a mazdaspeed for 16000 with 18k? Think thats to much for the car? Im going to offer the dealer around 13500-14500. I think thats fair ? what do you think??

(lol2) damn dude...Id want more than 12K on trade, and you think the dealer is gonna sell one for that(rofl)

ok..i think some of you misread...it has 18k miles on it for $16000. I figured I would at least try to pull 13k for it...dont know if they will budge but its worth a try.

Just curious....by listing problems about the car....is it possible to get a cheaper price?? Hell id be damn happy if i got it for 11-12k

where did you get your car from? Im gonna try to lowball and push 11 at first...if he doesnt bite ohh well...im not gonna pay more than 14k though. Thought about an srt-4 but dont like the body style...thought about an rsx like my bro, but then I have never had a problem with a mazda...so why leave the family...plus everyones real helpful here

i think sticker on a new one was around 16 ....
It was $20K actualy. It became alot cheaper once mazda offered the rebate on it so you could have up to $3000 off up front.

KBB didn't list the MSP but going by the ES the MSp would be at about $14K.

Edmunds is insanely overpriced like usual.
I'd offer $15K at most.

im pretty sure it was close to 16. there may have been a rebate i dont remember, but when i was looking into getting a new one last year, the 2003.5s were listed on the mazda site for somewhere around 16. i was ready to drive to lousiana to get one till i drove a used one ...

Sticker price on a 2003 MSP was 20,500. On a 2003.5 it went up to 21,000. Both including delivery charge.

An MSP, hell no and keep in mind I have been here since long before the MSP was even being designed. It was just shy of $20K. Mazda eventualy allowed for there rebates to be applied to the car and later dealers had to mark them down when they couldn't give them away. Especialy once the SRT/4 came out, you could find one new for around $17K. I don't know anyone that got one that low though without a trade in involved that could have been low balled to make it look like a lower selling price.

Keep in mind that all news paper adds usualy involve some matching down payment BS and all possible rebates. Even the college grad $500 rebate.

Yup!

But even so when the 3.5's came out the Mazda dealerships around here had them going between 18k-20k NEW. Now that its 05' I wouldn't pay more than 14k for a 3.5 with lower miles.

Oh, and Sic when you start to barter with them don't be to shy about it. That car was already a trade-in so they made are going to make a killing on it even if they sell it for 12k to you. Not only that but tell them they aren't going to have much luck getting rid of it, and that you are positive their competion would be willing to part with one for the 12k-13k range. Around where I live I have been seeing the 3.5's going for no more than 14k, and as low as 11k.
