Mazdaspeed on snow

i would not try the MSP on any kind of snow at all. Part of the speed rating of a tire is how stiff the sidewalls are and tire compound. a Z rated tire will get VERY hard in colder climates (generally under 40 degrees) and will feel like an ice skate. Instead of kicking it's heels in to stop the car, it'll just drag and skid. The tires on the MSP are about as performance as they come while still being dot legal. IMO if u get any kind of snow regularly, it'd be wise to purchase a set of snow tires
Just to be an ass, you can come a lot closer to "performance" than the MSP's tires: R-compounds. They're dot legal, too. :)

I've never experienced an ultra high-performance tire that comes close to the dry performance of my Kumho V700's...

WARNING WARNING:

Toyo Proxes T1-S report:
summer: have sex with pavement
winter: imagine ice skates, covered in grease, going down a mountain of sheer ice, with a booster pack on your back.....

:)

heh,
well thank you ass...
i was reffering to streetable..rain also (high way speeds) with a somewhat decent treadware rating..the rating on the bridgestones is 140..which sux...should last about 15000-2000 max of spirited driving...i used to have a customer with a race prepped auto-x suspension rx7 r1 who used the v700's shaved. i'd love to see a msp on a set of those. heh
