I just contacted my Mazda dealer and they told me they have no Mazdaspeed exhaust for the Speed6?

There is tons of videos on youtube of people having a Mazdaspeed dual exhaust on their speed6. Are they wrong, or did all those people make a custom installation?

My car is still under warranty for another 5 years, so I don't want to void it.

Any suggestions? Would you guys take the risk and go aftermarket with the corksport or the magnaflow?

There is no mazdaspeed exhaust for the MS6. They do have an axel back system for the N/A 2.3l Mazda6 so I think thats what your looking at.

Aftermarket cat-backs should not void your warranty but dealerships will always try to blame the part and not the car. The dealership has to prove that the aftermarket part(s) is causing the problem. Most dealerships dont care about cat back exhaust only if you remove the cats, then they complain.

And taking the risk, thats up to you. If you want to mod the car, thats your decision to make. I have the corksport exhaust and it was loud in the beginning but i got over it(considering the fact i did remove the cat). If you do the turboback setup with the corksport, get the resonator or put a high flow cat cause the car does get loud and drones alot on high way speeds.

Magnaflow is inexpensive and a good product. Havent heard it in person but its sounds good.

Also check out CP-e, GHL, Ets or try a custom setup. Look on youtube for videos to listen to clips of what they sound or check the forum to see what other people say. I say im happy with my corksport. I've been stop numerous of times saying how much they love the sound, even people with muscle cars.

Thanks for the comments. I've been listening to sound clips on youtube for a while now, and Magnaflow seems to have the good low tone that I like. But according to their site, it's a 2.5" and not a 3". Isnt that a little restrictive? Aren't all the other brands offering a 3" exhaust?

Magnaflow is a 2.5" while the stock i believe is a 2.25". The restrictive part of the stock exhaust system is more the mufflers and especially the cats. People replace the cat after the downpipe with a test pipe and feel more of an improvement than replacing the cat back with a aftermarket one.

Other companies use 3" or bigger. The Ghl and Cp-e dual & single exhaust use 3" tubing while the Ets uses 3" pipe that splits off to a 2.5" at the y-pipe. The corksport exhaust use an 80mm piping which is 3.14"(I Think).
