Mazdaspeed CX-5

So I was thinking yesterday it would be really sweet if they made a mazdaspeed version of the CX-5. Lower it about 3 inches and put a turbo version of the new 2.5l engine with all wheel drive and a 6 speed manual. Any thoughts?
Yes.

Not going to happen (specifically the lowering by 3", turbo, 2.5 w/AWD and manual tranny).

Whats weird is wothin two days I've seen two 1st gen mazda 6 wagons.. Both wi th temp plates. I've never even seen a 6 wagon stateside.

I saw a few previous gen 6 wagons around here.
If 6 wagon AWD (non MS) was available, I'd snatch it. Automatic so my wife will not refuse to drive it.
That would be the perfect vehicle, probably more cargo volume than a CX-5, better MPG, better passenger volume and lower weight.
I don't really need the ground clearance that much and I don't view riding high as an advantage, rather as a disadvantage because of the added weight and higher center of gravity.

I did test drive the Subaru Outback and did not like it. It felt heavy and unresponsive, a bit large for me. Considered also the Impreza, but was deterred by oil-consumption woes and for it being a tad too small in the cargo area. European brands are too expensive/not reliable enough and/or have bad fuel economy.

I could imagine the Mazdaspeed cx5 to have the 2.2L Diesel engine transplanted in North America with a few adjustments to the suspension, lowering it a bit with stiffer spring rates, a rear gate spoiler, a front lip spoiler, bigger brakes, and a few interior adjustments and call it a day :P
