Whatever happened to the Mazdaspeed FMIC that we were supposed to get pics of last week? I searched and cannot find the thread anywhere. I think it was PropartsUSA.com that posted about it. Any info?

Britt

I seriously doubt Mazdaspeed is making anything for us, especially a FMIC. The only thing I can think of is that you are thinking about the Protosport/Circuit Sport SMIC that Steph dropped off at Mazda.

I dunno either... the day after he made the thread I searched and came up with nothing. Shoot him a PM to clear everything up?

No it wasn't the Proto/Circuit one, there was a statement in the post that it was a full front mount and was being tested by Mazdaspeed. I'll PM him and find out I guess.

It wouldn't be warrantied, just like the Stage 1 Mopar SRT4 upgrade voids the warranty on the Neons. The only factory "tuner" parts that are allowed with the factory warranty are the NIsmo parts coming out for the Sentra SERs.

A few corrections if I may -

the parts Mopar stage 1 parts are fully warrentied- its the Stage II that isnt -had my buddy with an SRT tell me that -

The Nismo parts will also void your warrenty -
Had a dealer tell me that ( unless you purchase your car with them already installed as dealer installed options- ) the way I was going to buy a Spec V - with the Nismo Cat-back and Intake already installed- anything not installed at the time of purchase voids the warrenty-

And if there is no warrenty - then why the hell even do it?

(comment obviously for those who want to maintain their warrenty)

Correction, none of the SRT "performance upgrades" are warrantied. Please check out Mopar's website and read the fine print on the warranty information. It says it in black lettering, regardless of what your friend has told you.

Not tryin to start s***, just tryin to be sure people are aware that the warrantied Mopar parts thing is just a rumor. Don't want people to start tradin in their MSPs for SRT-4s because the upgrades are said to be factory warrantied. :D

(Let me know how the C02 spray goes..)

so this really is a MazdaspeedUSA product?

snap- dexter beat me to it.

will this include a bracket for the radiator, allowing the sidemount's removal?

i wonder what the benefit to getting Mazdaspeed FMIC vs. Wagner or Hiboost, ION or any other vendor.....

The sidemount can be removed if you wanted to upgrade the radiator. On the intercooler itself it will have two long studs that will bolt on. In this version we had to release the hood brace and move the powersteering lines behind the hood brace.

Edit: Depending on how much the kit changes it will come with instructions and we might be supplying a video of the install (If it gets edited) I will let you guys know more.
