2006 Mazdaspeed 6 Grand touring
Hey is there a mazdaspeed 6 out there for hte car, to improve fuel economy, or Hp, or both,? anything....?

Not a chip, but there are 3 options:
Piggyback Systems (CP-e Standback, Xede) -- Allows you or a tuning shop to dyno tune your car to extract maximum horsepower. Only works under WOT/Closed Loop conditions.

Reflashes (Cobb and CP-e FullControlFlash) -- Allows the throttle plate to open fully to extract maximum power. The Cobb Accessport adds pre-programmed tuning to either extract maximum power, OR maximum economy. Involves reflashing the car's computer. I have not heard of anyone running the Cobb Accessport Economy flash, so I do not know how it works. The Cobb cannot be custom tuned.

Unichip -- Adds a preprogrammed system that allows for slight horsepower increases. Can not be customed tuned without removal and shipment back to the vendor (this info may be incorrect, not quite sure). Is not an economy add-on

Try the search to use the pros/cons of each.

cobb ap can be customed tuned if you live by cobb or surgeline automotive. also the tuning software for the ap will probably be out in a month or two

The above three options are all good. I went with Cobb because of price/features/easy plug'n play The standback/CPE required an additional $150-200 for a harness

Got the Cobb for $450 shipped off ebay with 15% first purchase coupon and 30% mircrosoft cashback deal.

Ok good stuff did alittle research.
So this Cobb, how much HP gain or torque gain did you get?
it just plugs and plays into your ECU correct?

doesnt adjust anything with the turbo just throttle opening?

cobb adjusts just about everything there is to adjust, and now it even datalogs.

just to show you

tried out the cobb ap datalogging so i figured i'd share with you my graph i made in excel. fuel pressure and rpms use the right side axis if you couldn't figure it out.

not going to find an 07 with 2 trim leather as this was only made in 06.

No i have found a 07 2 trim leather with nav. In Cali.
Also one for sale at the dealer but price is too high. in Canada.

Danm your right! they didnt make it for 2007. I found out the ad was wrong, it is actually a 2006.

Sorry dude. Danm! so now what? lol
Should i go fo ra cheaper 2006 model with nav and 2 tone leather, or a 2007 model more money but prolly less milage but no 2 tone.

Man what difficult choices in life! lol

If the 2 tone is what moves you, then go for a gently used 06. The 07's have a longer powertrain warranty, but if you plan on any large mods you can pretty much forget about that (depending on your dealership of course). When I bought mine I was actually turned off by the 2 tone leather, but after a couple months I wouldn't have the car any other way. Spending more on a car that is only one year newer offers little in the way of long term gains if you plan on keeping it for longer amount of time and you keep up to date on the regular maintenance.

yeah i guess your right, yeah i love the two tone. its soo rare in any car.
makes it sporty and classy at the same time.
thats true i do want to keep my speed 6 for a while and I will baby it when i get it.
thanks bro

bova, nobody seems to be acknowledging the sheer awesomeness of that graph (yes, the tuning and logging is interesting too). I've been looking for a program that can create GOOD looking graphs for a long time, but you just kicked Excel up a notch.
