Hey guys, so my little brother backed my Mazda into a truck hitch the other day breaking the back left tail light. I called the dealer and they wanted $600 + for a replacement. I figured that it isnt too hard to install one my self however I am having a hard time finding a place that sells them... I have some photos, if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be awesome. Thanks!

Tell your brother two things:

1. Those shiny, reflective things flanking the car... those are mirrors.

2. It's a car, not a diesel dually.

It's got LED tails so I'd assume the OP has a GT model. Unless he has a Sport swapped tails.

OP - that portion of the tail light is super easy to swap out like you said. Follow the first three steps in the how-to below:

Yes it is the GT model. So I guess I am out $400. Man that really sucks. Does anyone know of good aftermarket taillights? I could probably save some money buying 2 aftermarket lights vs the 1 Stock LED.

Do a search on ebay for "mazda3 5dr tail lights" and a bunch will pop up. As far quality and fitment goes, you're on your own.

salvage yard? if you find an MS3 wrecked in the front, the tail lights could be ok. some of them are online so they can ship.

I would never buy one new if it was my money out of pocket. Bone yard is the way to go. I found a CWP Rocker for my car for under $100 vs $500+ new from the dealer.
