No, I meant that "and" like in the computer science / programming sense...

If they're still on here but don't have the car (i.e. pirana's p5), then well yeah hall of fame it up. If they went away from the scene or went back to stock totally but still have the car.. well then maybe still in the hall of fame, since a great car that once was is no longer (don't know of any people who have done this though).

Wow I'm glad this is getting a positive response from everyone... pretty much if your car is "active" it should not be eligible, that's what ROTM is for. This is more of a tribute to some of the best of the best this forum had to offer. Shining examples of Mazda awesomeness

Maybe something like, "there's no set number of people we can let in.. but the person will need X number of votes and votes are only counted twice a year"

If you guys would rather let all inactive members in that's fine too.. however you want to do it.

Yea I'm not really sure how often people should be inducted, maybe quarterly?? I don't think every inactive car should get in necessarily. I mean there should be some degree of exclusivity... this is a representation of the absolute best this forum and Mazdas in general have/had to offer. I think it should be a sticky but I'm not sure where, photo/video section perhaps.

I think that would kinda fit into the actual car. As in, the person who's willing to do all that stuff -- that will show in the car itself. By choosing the car, you're essentially choosing the person BEHIND the car -- who put all the work/time/money into getting said car the way it is to earn the Hall-Of-Fame status.

But I'm definitely a fan of this idea. It's like going back to our roots, LOL.

Yeah I just don't think every mazda that has been wrecked or sold should go into the Hall of Fame. The list would be ridiculous. We need some way to moderate who gets in, hence the voting or something.

Excellent point and idea...This is really about the members of Mazda Forums...It's about time we award those who actually really make a positive difference IN and FOR the community...whether you have a stock Mazda or a show stopper...Your contributions to Mazda Forums have not only made this a better place for all of us...you have helped to develop the Mazda scene in general!

someone actually agrees with me on something

is nice to give awards to people's rides! don't get me wrong...

but there are alot of people who maybe don't have the resources to great a show car or something similar but in a way has heped someone who does have the money to build that car.

The ones that stay until 3AM working on a friends car (lol)
or the ones that take the time to answer PM's about ridiculously stupid questions wthout flaming or anything.
The true car enthusiasts who can't stop talking about cars, who do this for the love and not for wanting to beat that SRT-4...

The ones who day to day read and re-read posts of useful info becaus esomeday it'll come in handy.
The ones that encourage people to try new stuff and give opinions when something has been done in the past and had failed....maybe the idea wasn't so bad after all, just needed to be seen from a different perspective.

I do hope it becomes a reality and that people who deserve to be there, be there. There are some great minds behind those ackward and funny screen names...people who should be pointed out and shown to the world.

Yea but in the end this is a CAR forum, if you'd like to start a thread to honor members on here that make understated contributions so be it... I however would rather look at a compilation of some of the best cars, not the owners who drive them.
