Does Mazda's paint suck as bad as I think it does. My car is not even two months old yet and it has 16 paint chips on the hood. I didn't bother checking the front bumper. I don't tailgate, I stay away from tractor trailors, and I don't go near any kind of gravel. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, did you get any help from Mazda?

same problem and no help from mazda. personally i am thinking about ponying up for the mazda bra.

well i have no chips on my hood my front bumper has chips all over it its these NY streets , sucks!!! For those who live up here tho @ tint pros on hylan blvd on SI they have what they call the invisable bra which is a clear laminate they put on the front bumper i'm thinking bout gettin it after i get the front lip and the bumper painted

might as well repaint the the car... mazda paint is hard to match cuz theres so much flake in it too bad they spend more time on that then making the clear coat thick enough to take hits

ahh they arnt that hard to match.... actually one of the easyer make of cars to match paint on...no flake in it...maybe metallic or pearl but not flake

thats what i meant theres alot of metallic and pearl in the paint... i dunno i heard it was hard to match i guess we will see when i repaint mine. going for more deep black instead of mica and then some pearl added to it..might be weird i know but hey i just might work.. might not get done for about a year or so though

i painted my audi like what ur talkin about it looked awesome
index.cfm

all i did was look up the formula for the phantom black schwarts its a audi color and over pour the blue green and violet pearl you really have to pour the pearl iin or else ya can barely see it...my friend paints ppg and said theres an additive dcx9 that ya add to the clear and it makes it hard as a rock but its hard as hell to sand and buff but if ya want a stone chip free paint id look at that

i got some touch up paint from mazda last week in the mail for like no reason? lol so ima use it to touch up mine
