If you have 17" wheels, downsize to the 16" wheels. Look on Tire Rack for the winter tire packages, those will be 16".

Do you guys think that wheels from an 2007 Acura TL-S would fit? They are 17x8 with the same bolt pattern with 45 offset and come with 235/45 tires. I think it might look ok. thanks in advance!

Here is my new setup. The wheels are TSW Donington 19x8 35 et front and 19x9.5 40et rear. I rolled the rear fenders and it only touches slightly on bad bumps with the whole family in the vehicle.

NO DOUBT! I thought I could get down the road to my crib with minimal rubbage. I was mistaken, I got a half mile down the road and had tire shreds smackin the car. I had to do an emergency road side fender roll. I grabbed that bat and went to town. It solved the issue but I got to do some touchup on the inner lip. I was forunate to not mess up the paint on the exerior of the fender. This is my lesson learned.

Ok, so that gives me hope that I'll be able to fit 235/45-17 with a +55 offset wheel. The front was starting to look pretty close on clearance after I dropped the 5. What are your camber specs?

When I aligned it after the springs were installed, my fronts are approximately 1.2 negative, while the rears were at 2.6 negative. For the 55et, you should have no problems clearing that 235 without rolling the fenders, depending on the width of the wheel.

Awesome. I'll be on a 17x7 wheel, so I think I'll be ok based on your measurements- but you are lower too. I'm currently at -1.0 front and -1.5 rear. It just looks so close right now in front even with the stock 205/50 on +52.5!

Dunlop SP-8000 on cheap Sport Editions from the 'Rack. These tires look kind of skinny on the wheels, more so than the previous tires (same size) so I think I could have gone 215s or wider.
Also you can see where the wife curbed the wheels the same week I got them on there, texting. (headshake)
I don't have an accurate enough scale, but this wheel/tire combo feels way lighter than the stock 17s (especially without the TPMS stuff on the new wheels) or the steel 16's with snow tires I just took off.

im thinking of buying a set of 18x8.5 +30 buddy club p1's

will fit on a stock bodied mazda5

the only suspension mods i have is bc coilovers with front camber plates , but i have not cut out the holes for the front upper strut tower

Do it! That would look hot. I like the look of the P1's. You will have to roll the rears with the 30et. Do it!

what if i use 215/35 18 tires

I think the 215's overall diameter is too small(23.9). The 225/40(25.1) would be a better and cheaper fit and the same overall diameter as the stock 17. There are some good quality choices in the low $100's.
