1. Which model / color / transmission / options / etc. did you get?
We bought a new 2008 GT , Brilliant Black, AT & cloth w/ sunroof. It has everything except navigation & leather for that year's model.
2. Whereabouts are you located?
Stoney Creek, Ontario.
3. Is this your first Mazda?
Yes.
4. What other vehicles were you considering, and what would you have bought if the Mazda5 didn't exist?
We were considering several such as Sienna, Rondo and Honda Odyssey. We would have gone with a Sienna but decided 5 was better on gas and looked great and not really a minivan.
5. What were the main three reasons why you chose the Mazda5?
Fuel economy, can carry 6 passengers (wife, self & 3 kids + dog), sporty feel and look.
6. If you could change three things about the Mazda5 and/or the options avaliable for it, what would they be?
1. Factory roofracks
2. Removable 2nd & 3rd row seats or if folded flat in floor would be awesome.
3. Can't think of anything else.
7. Do you plan to make any modifications?
Add rear bumper cover and likely roof-racks
8. Have you seen any other Mazda5s on the road yet?
MANY!
9. What kind of reactions have you received from others on your new Mazda5?
What a versatile vehicle, is it a car or a van or something else - generally like the ease of access and impressive fuel numbers.
10. So, is the Mazda5 a MAV, a minivan, a space wagon, a microvan, crossover, toaster oven or what?
I like an earlier answer - its a MICROVAN.
11. What question did I forget to ask?
What vehicle is it replacing? Not really replacing, but we are taking a 2000 Pathfinder (very thirsty) down from prime family transport to only occasional towing and / or snow vehicle.
