I got 2009 Mazda5 (touring) with 27,000 mile.
That is newer car, so has it been in an accident?
everyday use for long trip. all are stock. but their is one time that I try to use 16" mazda6 oem wheels. but after 500 miles I return the stock.
That could be the problem, when those rims
and tires where on there, it might have stressed
out your joints and caused irreplaceable damage
to the joints, did the guys that did the alignment
look at those joints?
Also, the M5 has no rear camber adjustments,
they are ALWAYS camber in (or negative camber)
Their is also a squeaking sound underneath the front end going on just on Speed bumps.
Okay that is one more tell tale sign that youre
steering and suspension joints are toast. I bet
you need to get them replaced.
Also see if youre having the engine mount
problem described by others, there is a
thread about the engine mount boots going
bad around that many miles.
at a speed of 20-40mph you will hear loud sound like rubbing. like the tire is rubbing against the road surface.
Not to be a smart ass, but the tire
always rubbing the road, otherwise
youre flying ! LOL! (lol)
So again hard to do over the internet,
ask if one of the mechanics from a shop
or dealer can ride with you and you can
get the car to make that sound.
when running at highspeed about 50-80mph the sound still their but a little bit lessen. you will just hear a cyclic sound. this noise is just in FRONT. mostly in RIGHT FRONT.
That is because those joints
are not being flexed as much,
but are flexing a bit more
repetitions per cycle. You
need to take a mechanic for
a ride (cabpatch)
steering has been affected. having this pull, wherein its hard to find the "0" position of the steering wheel.
Okay, yes now we are getting
somewhere; that is definitely
your rocker arms, joints, suspension
and alignment all in play. Go to a
VERY REPUTABLE repair shop, one
that is expensive to start, because
what youre talking about is a
combination of things and some 17
year old summer hire kid cannot fix
your car problems in a 30 min oil
change at jiffy lube.
tires already got uneven wear, tire at the back wear just at the inner side of the tire, on the front the outer side is wearing.
Crap sounds like that car
has been in an accident?
Did the wife hit a dear or
curb really hard? LOL! (wink)
when I rotated it the noise gets louder.
BINGO! Because there is more
tread on that tire, now that
joints and such are going to
sound more because theyve
not worn down the tread
enough to quite down see
what youre describing is
TWO things are fighting.
The tires are TRYING to keep
the car aligned, but some boot,
joint, arm, bar, whatever under
there is not right, so they fight
against each other. (boom03)
I told dealer about that but the alignment are ok they said.
That is because there is no
weight on the rims and tires
when its up in the air. MAYBE
the body is crooked. Theyd
need to check the frame alignment
and that is expensive. Did you buy
this used?
If not used, I take it back and get
my money back or trade it in and
get another car? (j/k... or am I?)
I'm just wondering if the alignment specs they made to my 5 is good. because the angle of the wheel is really noticeable. especially at the rear.
Specs = got to go look it up yourself.
Rear = There is no camber adjustment
in the rear of the five, so that wear on
the back is from:
1. The way the car was built
2. Your rear strut(s) are going bad
and cause more negative camber
THAN THERE SHOULD BE.
hope you guys can help me. thanks
Well try, but YOU have to work
on this too, go do these things
and/or keep us posted as things
get looked at.
As for the alignment, you'd have
to take it to another place and
see what they recommend, I don't
have the spec sheet for the 5.
I thought someone else would chime
in by now with that.
Good luck!
Peace!(rei)
