Mazda5 Coilover Help. Do Mazda3 Coilover setups fit a Mazda5?

I wanted to know what a good coilover setup would be for the Mazda5.
All I see are coilover setups for over $1000. The BC sports and Ksport kits, but for the Mazda3 there are a couple Tein, Raceland, and Eibach setups.
I've personally had raceland coilover setups and they've worked great, Also a Koni strut with Eibach spring setup that rode comfortably.
I really want to have the van lowered, but also adjustable so when winter hits, I can raise it. Since it will move the family I would also like to have comfort.
Any one know a bit more on this?

Suspension is probably one of those things you shouldn't cheapen out on. There are a few members on here with BC coilovers and are happy with them.

Also hello fellow Washingtonian :).

They (mz3 parts) will physically fit, but the rear of the mz5 is heavier. Unless you get stiffer springs and appropriate valving on the shocks, it will sag in the rear and handle poorly.

Oh alright sounds good, I was looking at the KSport coilover kit, would be BC Coilover setup be better?
I found them for the same price.

Hey there, I was in Graham last week lol

Gotcha, well I'd be easier to do it the right way lol
Does anyone here have a BC Coilover setup for sale?

Thinking about coilovers aswell and while i was researching ppl were cutting a bigger hole inorder for the camber adjustments to work. Is it necessary to go that route inorder for me to adjust the front camber?

If you want to be able to do simple and quick adjustments of camber/caster plates, then yes.

If you want to use stock strut top mounts (I did), or do a set-it-and-forget-it type alignment (it will be more involved b/c you'll need to pull the strut to change adjustment), then you don't have to cut.

Thanks for the tip. I prob wont be using that much camber in the front since im going to try and out my old wheels specs are 18x8.5 +48.

PM me before you do yours. My wheels are done. and i want to lowre it. Still on the fence about coilovesr or just throwing some H&R springs at it

once you know what you are getting into and accept the trade-offs (and the fact that we have severely limited options) and decide to go coilover anyway, I say look into YellowSpeed before BC - quite a few BC complaints on quality and design issues. YellowSpeed fails in marketing to gain presence and are not as well used which might equal to less complaints. Based solely on the structure/design, the YS has quite a few advantages over the BCs. I'll let you research the differences so you can better appreciate it.

You LA guys take your nice weather for granted. I'd say go CO and as low as local speed bumps allow :D

Just got my exhaust setup.
It's pretty quiet at idle and has a nice low grumble on acceleration:D
Next set is lowering lol

Nice. Hit me up when you're on this side of the mountains!

Also join MazdasNW too. I was the only 5 at the annual Leavenworth drive :(.

Thanks for the info. Ive heard mix reviews about bc's. Ive never heard of yellowspeed but it looks like a decent coilover. I just need to know what i want since its my daily. Im probably not going to slam ot aince my civic was pretty low and it was hassle driving it in certain areas

Yeah I already waited 3 years, can't wait another 3 years. Might die before than.

So has anyone tried the Yellow Speed coils yet? Looks like they jave a BBK too.
there was a CA member who was slammed on premium line YS CO. I don't see that line being avail for the Mz5 so I'm betting he used the Mz3 setup. He upgraded to air suspension but sold the set to another member here.

I'm still on the fence about installing CO or go spring/shock simply bc of old man winter :(.
