Mazda3 Seats in a Protege?

Does anybody know if the seats from the Mazda3 will bolt into the protege with no modification, or little modifiaction?

I found the seats in the Mazda3 at Rev-It-Up to be much nicer and more comfortable then my Mazdaspeed seats, also held you in a lot better.

Has anyone done this or attempted to swap Mazda3 seats out?

Let me know.

Thanks!

you might have to swap the rails but size wise they'd fit i think. back seats on the other hand.....

So we think they would fit, but we might have to swap rails (I expected this) How would I go about finding out for sure. Just wait for someone to try it, I am sure my dealer isn't going to be of any help in the matter.

yeah, its a possibility, but I am not the smallest guy and I want something that's gonna be comfortable for me and passengers on a daily basis. Let alone the whole messing with brackets stuff.... But seats are a long ways off for me. I figured once Mazda 3s start showing up in junkyards or 3 owners start replacing their seats I might be able to get something for a good price, and it's a definite upgrade over the MSP seats.

Did this ever work?

Sorry to resurrect this thread from the dead, but did anyone ever successfully install Mazda3 seats into a Protege? I'd really like to know if this can be done as I'd love to get a set of Mazdaspeed3 seats and throw them into my Mazdaspeed Protege.

I have no idea, but I'll check it out when I meet up the with the club on friday and see if the mounting places match. I'll take some pics.

Sorry to resurrect again but I've tried and there would have to be a lot of modding for custom brackets. The seat belts are tied into the seat and they're hella heavier than the stock Protege seats. Just an FYI.
