also if you havn't did the tb coolant mod the tb will be as hot as the engine coolant that runs thru it. rule of thumb is if you can't see the curb don't drive thru it;)
 
with modification...nobody posted an actual how-to on it yet tho...
 
Standard installation causes the tube to make contact with a bolt on the trans that holds one of the lines in place.

You have to either put something between the two or you have to tie the tube back so it doesn't make contact.

Or so I've heard. I have a mtx. :D
 
alot of people think it's tacky to modify the intake...as long as you do it right it won't look too far from the designers original spec. plus you guys get that cool looking jdm battery vent to cover the cai up so as long as you don't go hog wild you should be fine... I made a short ram into a cold air and everyone beleve it's the original aem design till I pull up the actual cai design.
 
Has anyone actually ordered from this guy? I ordered and paid for mine about a week ago. SInce then I got confirmation of my payment, but no indication of a ship date and/or tracking number. No reply to PMs so I figured I would air it out here. I just want some sort of reassurance that I wasn't taken. Lack of communication will make anyone nervous over a $200 purchase...

i cant find any for free shipping at that price
just two auctions at $165 with 20+ bids on them, I doubt they will go for that price either

all the other free shipping ones are $215 or more and on some if you read the fine print, if you use paypal you must pay for shipping

besides I would rather buy from a trusted forum member than some ebay clown
 
depends...I did the same thing free ship....the picture was a cai and It really was a SRI (Reason Behing My Intake Now)

Check out Mopac Auto Supply (http://www.mopacautosupply.com/)... They sell them for $276 CAD... Since you're on the mainland, call them and order it... that way you won't have to deal with customs or shipping hassles, and it works out cheaper plus there is no duty/brokerage to pay.
