Mazda2 Suspension chart.

I heard from STD, they recommend 336 F 178 R for all their coilovers. The list has been updated.

Here's what I got from Standard Suspension as well.

STANDARD SUSPENSION R1 & R3

Part # MZ01R1/R3
Spring Rate Front: 336LBS (6KG/MM)
Spring Rate Rear: 178LBS (3KG/MM)

STANDARD SUSPENSION R7

Part # MZ01T7
Spring Rate Front: Same if it's for a street car, custom if required to fit the roll cage, chassi preparation, tires used, type of race track, etc
Spring Rate Rear: Same if it's for a street car, custom if required to fit the roll cage, chassi preparation, tires used, type of race track, etc, however it's a specific spring on the rear.

If anyone is interested. I broke the piggy bank and bought these.

Will separate the rear springs and mount them on the torsion beam so I can run in STF.

Let is know if the rear springs will work. They look too long for use on the factory spring purch.

It would be good to know if there are any install issues as well. I don't suspect any, but you never know.

Ill give a full review and will post pics as well. The rear springs are 6 inches high, If they dont fit, or jack up the rear too much i will buy a different set from eibach with desired height.

Eibach part # is 600.225.500 for the rear springs. so 600 = 6" Height, 225 = 2.25" inner diameter, 500 = 500 LBS Spring Rate

GRM Project Fiesta was a direct fit, also made the car more "Streetable" well see, waiting for the weather to get warmer here in the NE.

I'm guessing the ford racing "autocross" kit uses the factory rear spring perches. I don't know about anyone else but between the price, spring rates and quality bilstein dampers it seems like one of the best options around for a street/track/autocross setup. It'd be nice to know if the dampers were adjustable.

Mann, I wanted to buy these before.. since you wanna run in STF, I get why you wanna seperate, but if I were you I wouldn't.. haha. Also, you may run into trouble trying to get the 2.25" ID springs to mount on to the rear perches. I think the ID on those springs may be too small, but you won't know until you try. You may need to get some reducer rings to make them work

Did a little research on the fiesta autocross kit. It looks like the bilsteins are non-adjustable, 30-50mm ride height reduction (not sure what that equates to on a mazda 2), and.....I've found it for sale under $800. Someone needs to try this.

Let's just say a little bit less than that, due to our cars being lighter than the Fiesta.

The Bilstein autocross kit uses lowering springs and non adjustable shocks. Bilstein only has 1 part number for both the mazda2 and the fiesta for their street kit. I would guess this same street kit is sold to ford as the "Autocross" kit.

Initially this "Autocross" kit was sold from ford as a fiesta B-spec kit. I dont think it was good enough to compete with the other spec kits so Ford hired Eibach to make a fiesta specific B-spec kit. Ford still sells the bilstein kit but now as "autocross"

The only bilstein kit for mazda2 is the PSS as far as I know. So that would mean the Mazda 2 Bilstein PSS kit is the same part as the FR Fiesta Autocross kit. Thats good info!

OP: you may want add "Mazda2 Bilstein PSS" to the specs on that Fiesta autocross kit if you decide to update the list.

Hey all. I didn't want to start a new thread for something that expires in a few days but I hope people check this out.

THMotorsports.com has a promo code to bring Suspension Techniques coilovers down to $774.99 with free shipping. At the same time, Suspension Techniques is running a $100 mail in rebate to bring it down to $674.99. Great price! I'm too far in debt with all the camera gear I've been hoarding but I thought someone should benefit from this good deal.

That is a great deal! Thanks for posting that one up.

Hot damn! If I didn't just get the CS dampers I'd be buying that right now. This is one of those times I wish I had just never seen your post. Somebody here NEEDS to take advantage of this.

this is enticing, but they are twin-tube with progressive springs, and no rates available anywhere, think i'm gonna hold out for some mono-tubes.
