Mazda Variable Valve Timing

Any good articles on Mazda variable valve timing? Is it true that it does not alter lift and duration like some of the better VVT systems do?

Variable lift and duration is a function of the camshaft, variable timing in most cases is a function of the cam gear itself (honda VTEC is pretty much the exception here). Mazda VVT does just what it says it changes the timing only
