Could a bad fuse be a problem?

Central junction box fuse 7 (10A), which protects Passive Anti-theft transceiver (PATS), Restraints control module

here's a pic of ignition fuse

sorry for the blurry pic,

i never thought of that a fuse may be the responsible for this, as simple as that, lol

Thanks snake,

Unless you see anything else that could cause the PATS to suddenly stop working, I'm leaving in about an hour to go try again. All lights and battery functions work. Keyless entry works. So all I have to go on now is a possible blown fuse or loose wire. I will most likely have to tow it to the dealer, and call them tomorrow.

No problem, i like to help people out, especialy fellow Tribute owners as i own the factory service manual, lol

when you go, take a 10a fuse so you can check if the fuse is blown and replacing it it should be back to normal, if it isn't the only option left would be the stealership (gun) as you said

2005 escape limited came with the GPS. I ccould have gotten a thermometer/compas with mine but it was extra I didn't need.

Interesting thread. For a long time I always figured my "step up" car would be the Mazda6 wagon. Now I'm considering the Tribute and following it. I doubt I'll be ditching the p5 anytime soon, but I figured my next car would need to have plenty of space and handle well in the snow. Tribute vs 6wagon is tough, but it seems the Tribute is a little more fun during wintertime. But the 6wagon has the 6-speed auto and can also come in 5-speed manual. The Tribute is either a 4-speed auto w/v-6 or a 5-speed manual/4-speed auto with i4 (same engines as the 3 and 6?)

Decisions, decisions! Luckily, I have a few years to decide...

the V6 only comes with a 4-speed auto
and the I4 comes with the same 4 speed auto or a 5 speed manual

'05+ V6 tributes come with 4 wheel brakes with ABS and EBD standard

I just bought a 01 Tribute DX. My first SUV. Nice car after driving a Saturn SC2. Lots of room & pretty peppy too.
