2007 MAZDASPEED 6
Hello all! I am new here, was looking around for info on my car and decided to try posting to see if anyone could point me in the right direction.

OK! So i have a 2007 Mazdaspeed 6. When i got the car i was re-learning how to drive stick so i put the clutch through its paces. My only other experience with driving a stick was my dads 99 volkswagon passat and that was several years ago. Now a few months after i bought the car (bought it in may i think so that is 9 months) i am starting to notice that i need to give it more gas than usual when starting out. If i dont then i stall. Im not getting any weird noises. Im wondering if this is just what normal wear (im only at 26000 miles) on a clutch feels like or if i should be concerned.

My dad says im just imagining things but i dont feel like i am. Any help at all would be appreciated.

Might seem odd, but did you try resetting the ecu by disconnecting the battery? Mine always seems to be smoother after I do that.

well part of the problem is our clutches are stiff mofos. Some compare it to stage 2 clutches. With that in mind, the engage point nearly makes our clutches a simple on/off switch.

So in other words, fully enganged or not... You just have to get use to how much gas is needed once the clutch is let off. You can actually adjust the clutch, but be careful not to let it go too loose, otherwise you'll start to get a slip.
